I have always gone by the old photographer's adage that your image isn't a photograph until you have had it printed. In the good old days we either shot print film or reversal (slide) film and would spend hours sticking prints into albums or putting our thumb through unwanted slides as we sorted them into trays. The other alternative to sticking prints into albums and showing them to unsuspecting victims, was to bore the pants off of our family and friends with a slide show when they came to visit.
These days digital photography has changed the way in which we view our images. We no longer need to project slides or get involved with the very time consuming album print sticking routine. We can now view our images instantly in-camera or better still over our TV screens, PCs and tablets. And if we still like the album method for prints we can use one of the Book Printing services on offer. The options for presentation are much better now than they have ever been.
I have been using the book making method for quite a while now, using the Blurb Booksmart software, which is quite intuitive once you have found your way around it. You can stick with the basic programme and make some pretty decent books with it, or you can incorporate pages made with other page designer software once you get the feel for it. On the whole those who offer book making services are pretty good. I use Blurb, but there are others coming up in the market place and they are well worth a look at too. Bob Books for instance, or Jessops deliver a good product. If you feel like giving it a go yourself click on the links I have posted below. Go on, give it a try! But do look around for the one that suits you best.
